Crossword from 25970 words in Russian is included in the Guinness Book of records by setting a new world record in the nomination «most published crossword».
The previous record was a Canadian lawyer Robert Truko in 1982 and had 25614 words told ITAR-TASS, the editor-in-Chief of «Russian crossword» Alisher Khalilov. He noted that the Crossword is in Russian and made by a 35-year-old resident of Yerevan, Armenia, Ara Hovhannisyan and published in edition of 100 copies.
Khalilov noted that crossmakes around the world, including the Russians tried to beat the record, but until now this has not been able to anyone. The main reason is a number of strict rules. For example, Crossword is strictly symmetrical on both axes, and the number of words is counted on both vertically and horizontally.
Printed crossword-giant is a folding paper cloth 2.3 2.4 metres, the colors of the Russian flag. Number of cells for letters was 132 thousand.
