Armenian and Celtic Connection in Bible

I have shown previously similarities of Armenian and Celtic Cross Stones.

But there is more to that.

The Inequality of Human Races  by Arthur de Gobineau.

This is in Russian and since I couldn’t find English translation of specific part I used google translator for that.

«The name of  these warlike tribes originated from the word «gall», meaning «strong». It is linked with the ancient roots of language, which remained in Sanskrit, «wala» or «walya» — and has the same value. Sarmatian tribes, then the Goths, kept faithful to this form and named galls  »walah». Slavs have reworked the word «wlach». Greeks pronounced it as «Celts»  and  Romans  borrowed fheir pronunciation  «Celtae «. Finally, it adopted the current form, «Galli». Besides that names  galls had  another  name «Gomer»  which in the  biblical genealogy is the name of one of the sons of Japheth.

As an aside it is appropriate to mention the following interesting facts. Armenians, writing that name it in their Chronicles, turned it into a «Gamer». I can’t tell where it came from them, but perhaps they (Armenians) were relatives of the Celts. There is indirect confirmation of this in the Bible, where Armenians are called tribe to breakaway from these «gomer» or «gamir». In Genesis (x 3) they are called «Togarmah-sons of Homer».

He goes on describing in details the Bible geneology and connections of ,etc… but I am lost in all those names, details.

More Beautiful Pictures From Yesterday’s Liturgy in Occupied Western Armenia

Regardless on how we all feel about the event on lake we have to agree that Island, landscape, Holy church, the whole ceremony, all religious attributes are outstandingly beautiful, just look at this, how do you even describe with words all this beauty, OUR beauty?? I am in love with the very first picture!

The information on the amount of participants as always varies a big time, some Turkish news say it was 200-300 people, others claim 2000 Armenians participated in Liturgy. One thing they all agree with is almost all Armenians there were Turkish Armenians since all other Armenians rejected the «show» without a Cross on the top of the Church.

Pictures from Protest Rally at Armenian Genocide Memorial in Tzetzernakaberd, Yerevan,Armenia

And again our nation is divided. While some  Armenians participated in Liturgy in Surb Khach Church on Akhtamar Island many more Armenians protested it attending Genocide Memorial in Tzitzernakaberd in Yerevan.

Armenian churches are being destroyed in today’s Turkey and most Armenians  feel all what is happening in Lake is just a game from Turkish side to convince the  world  they are  a «tolerant» country and Armenians should not become a «tool» in it. But most of all our nation was outraged at the Turkish decition not to install a on the church (called !). That  came as a suprise even to many Turks, during the poll conducted by Armenian News Agency they confessed they thought it was done deliberately by Turkish authorities to «wage a war» between Turkish and other Armenians.

Hopefully our nation will be smarter than to fall for such tricks, we  cannot and should not be divided, we are one nation regardless where we live and what language we speak!!!

Istanbul Armenian dance group visited Liturgy yesterday and sang and danced after the ceremony saying for them to visit Van is like a dream. So don’t judge too harsh, don’t hate on other Armenians!

Pictures first time seen at Nemo991 from LJ  with who I fully share interest in political and social issues ;-)

Привет тебе, друг! ;-)) Не хватает времени на общение там, пишу здесь ;-)

Many more pics from Tzitzernakaberd and dance group
