Yesterday Hranush Hakobyan, Minister of Diaspora relations released an issue where she stated that they are thinking to hold beauty contest in which will participate not only girls from Armenia but also from  all  diaspora communities. That is a great idea! The contest will probably be called «Miss Armenian» and the Finals will be held in Yerevan.  I am sure most of those young girl of Armenian origin living abroad have never even been to historical Homeland.  Great opportunity for all of us to  gather  one  more time  in Yerevan for a beautiful  event and to see more beautiful Armenian girls. But Diaspora Minister put up some preconditions, such as contestants  should  speak  Armenian ( which many Diaspora Armenians unfortunately don’t), cook Armenian cuisine. Both parts are quite understandable but the third point is quite dubious, she declared that contestants should also match Armenian high moral standards, so Kim Kardashian is automatically out of  Armenian beauty Contest! ;-)))
