Gianni Infantino from Italy was the interim UEFA Chief Executive during 2007. He is of Armenian origin. He was only in charge until SFA Chief Executive David Taylor officially took over on the 31 March 2007. He is currently UEFA general-secretary UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino stated on August 12, 2010 «There is still a lot to do», but he had «full confidence and trust and I’m very optimistic on the success of the Euro 2012 in Ukraine» , and called for UEFA to take tough action in the wake of the 2009 European football betting scandal.

BBC.Armenia: the cleverst nation on the globe.
Armenia is the winner of the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad.
Young Armenian chess players won 8 consequent rounds, securing the title prior to the end of the Olympiad.
This is the second Olympic victory of Armenia since 1998, when the youth team included Levon Aronian, Gabriel Sargissian, Tigran Petrosian and Varuzhan Hakobian.

Right after a lovely, feminine lady it is time to go for a strong man and when I say strong I mean strong!! ;-)) If you look under «read more» you can also see his picture with his lovely girlfriend Katy ;-)
I found his photo at one of my favourite websites which updates on daily bases and looked for info on our Armenian guy , it was worth it! ;-)
Patrik Baboumian was born in 1979 in Abadan, Iran. He is a German strongman competitor and former bodybuilder of Armenian origin . In 1985, at the age of seven Patrik, along with his mother and grandmother, emigrated to Hattenhof, Germany.

Robert Emmiyan (Armenian: Ռոբերտ Էմմիյան; born February 16, 1965 in Leninakan) is a retired long jumper who represented USSR and later Armenia. His personal best jump of 8.86 metres, which he achieved in Tsakhkadzor in May 1987, is the current European record, and also the fourth best result of all time (after those of Mike Powell, Bob Beamon and Carl Lewis).
His achievements include a silver medal at the 1987 World Championships as well as European Indoor gold medals. He also won the gold medal at the 1986 European Championships with a jump of 8.41 metres, which was the championship record (CR).
Emmiyan currently lives in France.
