Two members of the band are Armenians, brother and sister. Other members are Estonians. They play Armenian folk music and there is so much passion in it one would never guess they are Estonians ;-)) bravo, great job! ;-)

Kim Kashkashian (born August 31, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan) is an Armenian-American violist who won the 2nd prize at the 1980 Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and the 1980 ARD International Music Competition in Munich. She has been featured on over 30 albums and performs pieces from both classical and contemporary composers, working among others with Gidon Kremer and Yo Yo Ma, the Vienna Philharmonic and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. She also played the viola in the soundtrack of the film Ulysses’ Gaze, together with Eleni Karaindrou. Her albums have won awards, notably the 1999 Edison Prize and the Cannes Prize for Chamber Music in 2000.
Kashkashian currently teaches at the New England Conservatory. Before she taught at Freiburg and in Berlin.

This famous trio is going out of their way to distort the truth about famous people with Armenian origin. The last «victim» of their games is Marie Laforet, French singer of Armenian origin. Wikipedia used to say » Marie Laforet was born to Armenian family from Western Armenia» . Now they have taken that part away and even went so far to childishly «explain» that because she used to sing «world folklor» she was thought to be an Armenian. Any connection? She sang various nations’ songs, why the world calls her «Armenian» and not Romanian for example? …
